Function
Fragrance; Skin conditioning. Essential oil steam-distilled from the leaves and twigs of mandarin (Citrus reticulata), also known as petitgrain mandarin oil. Dominated by linalool, linalyl acetate, dimethyl anthranilate, and methyl N-methyl anthranilate, with lower limonene content than peel oils. Used as a natural fragrance ingredient and skin conditioning agent. CIR Expert Panel assessed citrus flower- and leaf-derived ingredients and concluded they are safe as used in cosmetics when formulated to be non-sensitizing and non-irritating.
