Newly declarable EU allergen under EU Regulation 2023/1545 (effective 31 July 2026 for new products, 31 July 2028 for on-market products). Must be declared above 0.001% in leave-on and 0.01% in rinse-off products. Widely distributed sesquiterpene in essential oils and major constituent of hemp/cannabis extracts with relatively low sensitization potential despite allergen designation. Update formulations, CPSRs, and labels accordingly.
