It has a role as an antioxidant, an insecticide, an antineoplastic agent, a vasodilator agent, an antilipemic drug, an antiprotozoal drug, a platelet aggregation inhibitor, an estrogen receptor antagonist, an anti-inflammatory agent and an apoptosis inducer.
