Used around eyes at up to 0.5%; aerosol use at up to 0.04%. Inhalation of aerosolized AMP can provoke dyspnea in asthmatics—relevant for spray formats.
US Note
Permitted in cosmetics. CIR Panel concluded safe as used (Final Report, Sept 2020). Drug products containing AMP were withdrawn per 21 CFR 216.24 (not safe/effective as vasodilator), but this does not affect cosmetic use.
